IDA060 - Fee for Filing of Master's Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation

IDA 060

July 21, 1995

VICE CHANCELLOR FOR RESEARCH AND DEAN, GRADUATE STUDIES
ASSISTANT DEAN OF GRADUATE STUDIES

RE: Delegation of Authority - Fee for Filing of Master's Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation

The University Policy on Continuous Registration of Graduate Students and Administration of the Filing Fee, dated June 5, 1969, provides that, under certain circumstances, a candidate for masters' or doctor's degree need not be a registered student at the time when completing the last of the requirements for the degree. I am delegating to the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies, authority to grant a student permission to pay the filing fee amounting to one-half of the regular term University Registration Fee in lieu of registration, provided the conditions of University policy regarding this action are met.

Any redelegation of this authority should be in writing with copies to the list below.

This delegation supersedes the May 27, 1986 delegation of authority from Chancellor Peltason on the same subject.
