Re: Redelegation of Authority - Student Discipline
The Chancellor's authority to impose discipline on students for violation of University policies or campus regulations is set forth in the Policies and Procedures Applying to Campus Activities, Organizations and Students (8/15/94). Effective immediately, I am redelegating to the Dean of the College of Medicine authority to impose discipline on medical students for violations, or attempted violations of any University policies or campus regulations, including both academic and nonacademic matters, in accordance with the University of California Policies Applying to Campus Activities, Organizations and Students, dated August 15, 1994.
This authority may not be redelegated and modifies, but does not supersede, except for cases involving medical students, Irvine Delegation of Authority IDA095, dated July 21, 1995.
