RE: Redelegation of Authority - Exceptions to Staff Policy 51, Reduced Fee Enrollments for Selected Nursing Employees

Staff Policy 51 provides that regular status employees in career positions who meet the admission requirements of the University are eligible for a reduced fee benefit. Employees are eligible for two-thirds' reduction of the University Registration Fee and the University Educational Fee for up to nine units or three regular session University courses per quarter, whichever is greater.

On July 1, 1996, DA 2069 gave Chancellors the authority to approve for selected nursing employees reduced fee enrollment exceptions for up to twelve units or four regular session University courses per quarter, whichever is greater.

Effective immediately, you are authorized to grant exceptions to Staff Policy 51 so that selected nursing employees in the classes shown in the DA 2069 listing may be eligible to receive reduced fees, subject to the terms of the January 19, 1990 Regental authorization [see Yudoff letter, June 25, 2009].

This redelegation may not be delegated further and supersedes the December 1, 1995 delegation of authority, IDA123, from Chancellor Wilkening on the same subject.
