RE: Delegation of Authority - Execution of Documents Necessary for the Conduct of Patenting, Licensing, and Intellectual Property Matters
Authority to execute documents necessary for the administration of intellectual property is to be carried out in accordance with the Reassignment of Responsibilities Operating Guidelines, University of California at Irvine, signed November 4, 1994 and subsequent revisions thereto. Senior Vice President Kennedy’s November 16, 1999 letter extended the Reassignment of responsibility for the administration of University patent and other intellectual property matters to the Irvine campus.
I am delegating the authority to execute documents necessary for the conduct of patenting, licensing and other intellectual property matters to the Executive Director–Applied Innovation, the Managing Director–Research Translation Group, the Senior Director–Invention Transfer Group and the Associate Director, Intellectual Property Administration.
Any redelegation or reassignment of this authority shall be in writing, with copies to me and the list below, and shall be no less restrictive than this delegation and assignment.
This letter supersedes IDA 570, dated October 3, 2016, regarding patent and licensing matters.
