RE: Redelegation of Authority - Moving Expenses for Professional/Support Staff and Managers/Senior Professionals

The authority to approve payment of moving expenses was delegated to Chancellors by Presidential Delegation DA 0001, June 15, 1959. I am redelegating to department heads, the authority to authorize payment of actual and necessary moving expenses for eligible staff employees and one-half of actual moving expenses for new staff appointees, subject to all conditions set forth in Business and Finance Bulletin, G-13 - Policy & Regulations Governing Moving & Relocation.

The authority to make exceptions for new appointees was delegated to Chancellors by Presidential Delegation DA 0184, April 26, 1968. I am redelegating to department heads, the authority to make exceptions to the payment of one-half of the moving expenses for new appointees in the Manager/Senior Professional and Professional positions.

These authorities may not be redelegated further and supersede those in the December 1, 1995 delegation of authority, IDA040, from Chancellor Wilkening on the same subject.
