RE: Delegation of Authority - Solicit and Accept or Execute Grants or Contracts Containing the TRB/NRC Liability Statement

The authority to solicit and accept or execute any Transportation Research Board/National Research Council grants or contracts containing the Liability Statement which requires assumption by the University of third-party liability was delegated to Chancellors by Presidential Delegation of Authority DA 2053, January 19, 1996.

I am redelegating that authority to the Vice Chancellor–Research, the Associate Vice Chancellor–Research Administration, the Executive Director–Sponsored Projects Administration, the Associate Director–Sponsored Projects Administration, Supervising Principal Contract and Grant Officers, Senior Contract and Grant Officers, and Contract and Grant Officers

This authority may not be further redelegated and supersedes IDA398, dated April 6, 2005, on the same subject.
