UC Development Reference Guide
Information about UC policies pertaining to gift administration (soliciting, accepting, and acknowledging individual gifts) and organized fund-raising campaigns on behalf of the University of California, both in matters of legal interpretation and of University policy. Institutional Development Policy
All solicitation and fundraising materials and other communications to donors and the public shall clearly identify the University of California and be accurate and truthful, including administrative or other fees levied against philanthropic donations.

Regents Policy 5203: Policy on Support Groups, Campus Foundations, and Alumni Associations
Defines privileges and responsibilities of the relationship between these entities and the University. Issued by the Board of Regents of the University of California.

UC Administrative Guideline on Campus Foundations
defines the role performed by each campus foundation, its governance structure, its relationship to the University and the requirements it must meet. Issued by the Office of the President.

UC Administrative Guidelines for Support Groups
are set forth to enlist the vitally important volunteer leadership of support groups in the implementation of Regents Policy 5203 and in the University’s stewardship of activities conducted in its name. Issued by the Office of the President.

UC Administrative Guidelines for Campus Alumni Associations and Constituency Alumni Groups
specifies the requirements that must be met to obtain and maintain recognition by the University, as well as its governance structure, the requirements for its fundraising and financial activities and its responsibilities to the University. Issued by the Office of the President.

Focuses on establishing strong relationships with outside constituencies. Responsible for communications, governmental relations at the state and federal levels, and institutional advocacy.
